FABRIC DETAILS

Statement Feature Wall Panel — made to your size in a choice of 3 fabrics, from 250gsm to 300gsm.

Fabric wall art occupies a large area for very little weight and no glass, which is why it works where a framed print would be impractical — high walls, rented spaces, hospitality interiors and anywhere a large image needs to go up without a rawlplug in sight.

This product is offered across more than one fabric because the right answer depends on where the panel is going and how long it needs to last. The table below sets every option side by side on the specifications that actually decide the choice — weight, opacity, finish and weather behaviour — so you can compare them directly rather than opening a page for each one.

About this format

Fabric wall art hangs from a rod pocket or a concealed batten, which puts a very large image on a wall with a fraction of the weight and none of the glass a framed print would need. Check your source resolution before scaling up.

Best for

  • Large-format tapestries
  • Gallery-grade textured wall art
  • Diptych and triptych sets
  • Panoramic landscape panels
  • Statement feature-wall panels

Which fabric should you choose?

  • 800D HD Linen (300gsm) — Woven from slub yarns to give the irregular texture of linen, with none of linen's bad habits.
  • 800D Linen-Look — Woven from slub yarns to give the irregular texture of linen, with none of linen's bad habits.
  • 250gsm Soft Knit — Our heaviest soft knit — the weight you reach for when a backdrop has to hang perfectly flat.

Key advantages

  • One product, 3 fabric specifications — compare and choose without leaving the page
  • Genuine slub texture that reads as natural linen at conversational distance
  • Does not crease permanently the way real linen does — hangs presentable straight from the box
  • Dimensionally stable in humidity, so it will not sag through a long event
  • Fully matte, textured surface that suits gallery, church and interior settings

Choosing the right specification

Let the texture do some of the work. A slub linen-look or a brushed matte surface gives a large image a physical, hand-made quality that a smooth cloth flattens out — and at wall-art scale that surface is a substantial part of what people respond to. For very large single images, check your source resolution before you scale: fabric is forgiving of softness but not of visible pixels.

How ordering works

  • Send your artwork — Upload print-ready artwork at any stage — we check scale, resolution and bleed before anything goes to press and come back to you if something needs adjusting.
  • Made to your size — Every panel is cut and finished to your dimensions. Tell us the finished size you need and how it is being fixed, and we will allow for hems and fixings correctly.
  • Printed by dye-sublimation — Colour is transferred into the polyester fibre under heat, so the image becomes part of the cloth rather than a layer sitting on top of it.
  • Finished and shipped — Hems, eyelets, pole pockets, silicone edge and other finishing are applied before your order is folded, boxed and dispatched worldwide.

Technical detail

Why the denier and the weight do not line up here. Linen-look polyester is woven from slub yarns — filaments deliberately spun uneven, alternating thick and thin along their length — at a lower pick density to leave the surface open and irregular. Published weights for slub constructions run roughly 150-280 g/m², so this cloth sits squarely inside the normal band for its type. Denier here describes an average across thick and thin sections, which is why it should be read as a texture specification rather than as a strength rating.

What to expect from service life. Indoors and out of direct sun, printed polyester holds its appearance for five years or more. Outdoors, published ranges for dye-sublimated polyester run from roughly six to twenty-four months depending on how exposed the position is, with the shorter end applying in high-ultraviolet regions such as the Southwest, Florida and the Gulf Coast, and in coastal or high-wind locations. Sheltered and north-facing installations reach the longer end. Coated and tarpaulin-grade constructions extend beyond that band because the coating carries the UV load.

Best suited to

Interior and gallery settings where texture carries the piece — wall art and tapestry, church and chancel banners, textured backdrops and premium table runners.

For load-bearing outdoor installations, our Oxford and tarpaulin ranges are built for structure.
