Woven Twill Tablecloth (160gsm Twill) — A twill weave with a fine diagonal rib — the practical, hard-wearing everyday cloth, specified for table covers.

Twill interlaces yarns on a staggered offset, producing the characteristic diagonal line and a cloth that is more supple and more abrasion-tolerant than a plain weave of the same weight. It is the structure behind most workwear and upholstery fabric, and it brings the same practicality to printed drapes, table linen and wall panels.

Choosing the right specification

Decide between a throw and a fitted cover first, because they behave completely differently. A loose throw drapes over the table and forgives an inch of size error; a fitted stretch cover pulls tight to the frame and looks far sharper, but it must be cut to your specific table dimensions. Measure the table itself, not the cover you already own.

• Finished and shipped — Hems, eyelets, pole pockets, silicone edge and other finishing are applied before your order is folded, boxed and dispatched worldwide.

Technical detail

What to expect from service life. Indoors and out of direct sun, printed polyester holds its appearance for five years or more. Outdoors, published ranges for dye-sublimated polyester run from roughly six to twenty-four months depending on how exposed the position is, with the shorter end applying in high-ultraviolet regions such as the Southwest, Florida and the Gulf Coast, and in coastal or high-wind locations. Sheltered and north-facing installations reach the longer end. Coated and tarpaulin-grade constructions extend beyond that band because the coating carries the UV load.
